Each year 160, 000 children are diagnosed with cancer – these children are daughters, sons, future doctors, nurses, lawyers, architects, global citizens.
Each year 90,000 are succumbing to cancer especially children in limited resourced nations.
The Wish4Life Foundation was founded to overcome this disparity by addressing the needs of children with cancer – making diseases that are curable a reality. Through access to essential medical expertise, medicines, supplies, resources and infrastructure support, the Wish4Life Foundation will provide capacity building in partnership with pediatric cancer programs around the globe.
To Make A GiftThe creation of the Wish4Life Foundation was inspired by the wish of a young cancer patient, successfully treated by Dr. Tanya Trippett, to help other African children receive the same level of care. His parents supported the creation of the Foundation to honor his recovery and make his wish a reality.
The Wish4Life Foundation initially began its work in Rwanda. Building on that experience, it has expanded its efforts to Ghana, where it is establishing a sustainable International Children's Cancer Research Centre. This center will serve as a model for future initiatives in other regions.
